The tethered balloon used in the floating platform is a floating aerial vehicle that relies on filling helium gas, which is lighter than air, to generate buoyancy and overcome its own weight in order to float in the air. At the same time, it is tethered to the ground anchoring vehicle by a photoelectric composite cable. It has the characteristics of long endurance and stable attitude in the air.
The floating platform consists of five main parts: sphere structure, control and communication subsystem, energy and lightning protection subsystem, and mooring subsystem. It is capable of various functions such as airborne mooring, lift-off recovery, anchoring, lightning protection, pressure regulation, state monitoring, mission equipment loading, and data transmission.
